Why do you go to Church?  If it is for any reason other than GODs reason, then it’s for the wrong reason.  There is only one reason to go to Church and that is to learn what your response is to what HE and HIS Son have already done for you. 

     GOD gave HIS Son, Jesus gave His life, and you are bought with a price.  Do you have any comprehension what that means?  You are, We are BOUGHT and PAID FOR.  That means that we are not just servants, most servants get paid for what they do.  We are slaves.  HE owns us.  HE can do with us as he pleases.  To coin an old cliché, “we are not to reason why, we are to do and die”.  Die to the mental frame of reference of the world, the flesh and the devil.  All of which is in contradiction to the ways of GOD. 

     If you got to a Church and you are not called to the work of that ministry, I’m not talking about a particular office like Pastor, Deacon or Sunday School teacher or something like that.  I’m talking about the average parishioner that is call to their responsibility in the work of the ministry.  I’m talking about the spreading of GODs Word as led by the head of that ministry, the Pastor or what ever the leader of the congregation is called in that particular ministry. 

     I have been a member of the congregation that I belong to for over 20 years now and have seen people come and go for a variety of excuses.  Most of which amount to, they just can’t take the pressure of being a Christian.  I’m no exception as I have as many, if not more, weaknesses as anyone else.  Yet GOD will not let me go, HE keeps bringing me back.  I guess HE has some purpose for me HE hasn’t revealed yet. 

     Any one of the main problems that I’ve seen is the problem that keeps repeating itself since GOD brought his people back to Jerusalem after 70 years in captivity.  Everybody was all excited and got busy building HIS Church with great enthusiasm and it lasted long enough to build the foundation.  And then, they started listening to the voice of the devil through the ones that didn’t want to see GOD’s house built HIS way and they stopped.  For 15 years. 

     This problem is still visible in today’s ministries.  The one I’m a member of included.  People hear GODs Word taught, they get excited, make commitments and dive in head first without even thinking twice.  Then the waves come, then the thunder and lightning (family problems, job problems, neighbor problems, car problems, I just don’t feel like it problems, etc.).  Where the ministry took of like wildfire to start with, now it’s taken a nosedive.  Do you see the comparison?  It doesn’t just happen with old timers, it happens with new members.  GOD tests people in those ways.  HE got people all over the world listening to my Pastor and then GOD tested them, US.  HE took our Pastor home.  But GOD set it up where his widow was able to take over the ministry and a lot of the old timers were uncovered.  They were not there for the work of the ministry, they were there for the Pastor and there could be no other.  So, they left with hard feelings.  They didn’t really believe GOD could carry on the ministry with someone else.  Especially a WOMAN.  Can you guess what will happen to those that didn’t really trust GOD to keep HIS MINISTRY going no matter who the pastor is?  Remember, HE is the only one who has the right to pick the person who runs HIS MINISTRY, not any of us.

     We are called to the work of the MINISTRY not the work of the PASTOR.  The pastor, whomever HE or SHE might be is to perpetuate the work of the ministry, (GODs MINISTRY) not the Pastors.

     Another note close to my heart is this Country.  GOD established this country with Christians; HIS covenant was written and established in the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights.  Read them and anything you see in today society in this Country that contradicts anything that is written there is contradictory to GODs will.  Sitting around moaning and complaining about it accomplishes no more affect on the circumstances than complaining about the weather.  Pray to GOD, stand up for what is written, write letters, call your congressman and resist, by vote and other legitimate means, any changes, even in interpretation, in the way it is written and what it stands for.  The sooner that even one jot or tittle is changed, the sooner the false prophet and antichrist take control and Christians are supposed to resist (fight) that with every ounce of their energy. 

     Why do you go to Church?  To get your ego stroked, to be made to feel good about yourself or to learn what your responsibility and response to GOD and Jesus Christ is.
