To everyone that calls him- or her self a Christian

To everyone that calls him- or her self a Christian. Stop complaining about the bad times, the hardships and everything going, or so it seems, wrong. If you’re a real Christian, you know why everything feels so unfair. Every real Christian knows that GOD is in control of everything, EVERYTHING.
Everything that happens, if not caused by GOD, is caused by the devil or his followers within the boundaries allowed by GOD. GOD is testing HIS people, Christians and Jews. Remember in the Old Testament when HIS people put HIM to test. They paid the price. Today, all we do is whimper, whine, moan and complain and pray for these problems to be taken away or ask why does GOD allow this to happen. Oh, we of little or NO Faith. Notice I said we. I’m not leaving myself out. I’m as guilty as everyone else. I’m just as foolish because, like everyone else, I have a hard time thinking past myself. My own selfish interest.
Remember, everything that happens, whether HE causes it or allows it to happen, is happening according to HIS WILL. Nothing happens that is not according to HIS WILL.
So remember, next time something goes wrong, according to the way you think, some disaster, some catastrophe, some world-shaking event or some personal problem that you think shouldn’t be happening, that you want to ask, “How could GOD allow this to happen?” you, we, are being tested, tried, to see if we can bare up and not let it come between GOD, Jesus Christ, and us, or, if we will let our Faith fail and be destroyed with the rest of the world. Keep the Faith, put HIM and Jesus first ahead of everything and everybody, everybody, and just maybe you’ll be one of the ones to spend eternity with GOD and Jesus.
If you are one of the yuppies of today’s society that has your self-pleasure ahead of everything else, remember, at HIS right hand are pleasures for evermore. Pleasures beyond our mere mortal comprehension.
Keep the Faith and keep HIM and Jesus first in your life.

Harry,
Thank you for this article. You’ve put things exactly in perspective. We are fond of feeling we are being terribly persecuted when we’ve really got it pretty good in an historical perspective. Reading Romans 13 one could get the idea that Paul was living under a very pro-Christian government. The actual truth is that the Emperor at the time was Nero. Nero, who was fond of using oil soaked Christians as Tiki Torches for his garden parties and the daily score down at the Coliseum was “Lions 10-Christians 0.” Yet, even under those conditions Paul was able to rejoice and instruct his followers to pray for the government. Perhaps if we spent more time praying for the men in power and less time belly aching about their decisions and actions, we might actually have a positive effect on those actions.
