The Government, The Media, And The People

I honestly don’t believe that there has ever been a time in the history of this country that there has been so many people in positions of authority and influence that have done so much to destroy the very foundation that the U. S. is based upon.
I think I’ll start with the media. Have you ever wondered why the teleprompter or cards that the newscasters read from to report the news were called idiot cards or idiot box? The reason has become pretty self-evident lately. I don’t think I have ever seen anyone that was so anxious to cut their own throat as these people.
It all seems to revolve around the 2nd Amendment in the “ Bill of Rights” to the Constitution of the United States. They don’t seem to realize that each one is like a major corner stone, that if one is removed or even weakened in any way, (i.e., re-interpreted), the whole wall tumbles. That means that they fall like dominoes. Which means that the 1st Amendment, which includes their freedoms, could be the very next one. For those of you who aren’t familiar with what it says, it also includes our religious freedom.
Now when the “Constitution” and the “Bill of Rights” were written, there was no such entity as the United States of America. It was not allowed to come into being until these documents were written, accepted, and ratified by every community in this country that were to become the individual states. They recognized government as an entity analogous to a T-Rex. It would gobble up everything in it’s path on it’s way to becoming THE entity of total power in this country. This Government was not allowed to come into existence until these documents went into effect, the “Bill of Rights” in particular.
The people who demanded these rights were Christians. Perhaps more so than what is walking around in this country today. They call themselves Christians, but their peace-nick mentality is causing them to sit back and let those that are anti-Christian take control and even support them because they are against war of any kind. I can’t help but wonder, how many of them could sing a song like “Onward Christian Soldiers” and honestly feel like they’re a part of the movement started 2000 years ago by Christ Jesus, willing to stand up and resist the influence of everything that runs contrary to the Judeo-Christian Faith, to the point of being willing to fight and die for their Faith. The inhabitants that made up the communities and founders of this country were. I think you will also find out that the people that made these demands on what was to be the federal government, would in no manner accept a state government or law enforcement entity to violate these rights. Yet today, I challenge you to find a governmental agency in any state that does not impose some kind of restrictions on the 2nd Amendment, even if no others.
The only ones that will benefit from the complaints being raised by politicians and the media are the politicians themselves. Everyone else, no matter what you belief will loose.
“Rev. Jesse Jackson, who called the Heller decision a “right wing… gang of five” and accused it of “Distort[ing] the clear meaning of the words of the Second Amendment and reinvent[ing] the intent of the Founders.”“, once spoke in our Sunday Service calling our congregation a “true rainbow coalition”, at which time our pastor Dr. Gene Scott, lauded him. I’m not so sure Dr. Scott would be as quick to praise him with the comment he just made twisting the meaning of the Second Amendment.
It seems educated people, supposedly speaking for GOD, are becoming a little bit dubious as to where they stand. That doesn’t sound like a Christian mentality to me. The verses that come to mind are Mat. 10: 34-36 “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man a variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. Notice that the words are in red indicating that they are Jesus’ words. He is saying this indicating that if you prefer anyone or anything to Him, you are not worthy of Him. In fact you can’t even take up YOUR cross and follow after him, your not worthy of Him. Meaning, if you can’t resist the ways of the world, (rebel) against them, you probably can’t even legitimately call yourself a Christian. Your not following Christ.
Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Speak softly and Carry a big stick”. Thanks to the Heller decision, some more decent law abiding citizens are able to carry that big stick against criminals, terrorists and others that would interfere with our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Now, I’m sure there are those that will think, when they read this that I’m advocating anarchy and violence. Those people should learn not to think. They are wrong. I am advocating the Constitutional Rights that this country was founded on, no more, no less. Make sure when you go to the polls this year to vote, the one you vote for is not some wishy-washy political lackey that changes his (or her) platform with every wind of desire from people with special interests and influence. Make sure they stand by there record and it is one that is constitutionally sound. Which makes me think that some of these candidates are not constitutionally acceptable to occupy the office of President of Vice-President for that matter. PLEASE!!! Don’t allow your vote to be wasted on trivial desires. Make sure it counts for the REAL good of the country.
