That New York City Mayor and the City Commission of Lower Manhattan don’t care about what the people in their city want.  They approved the building of the Masque near the “Ground Zero” monument to the 9/11 victims.  They centered their decision on strictly religious issues it appears which the issue has nothing to do with.  No one objects to them building a Masque, just not there.  It is not only a slap in the face to the survivors of the victims but to the people of New York City and the people of America as well who view the monument as a national monument the same as the monument to the military and civilian personal that died at Pearl Harbor.  They are both monuments to those fallen in war.  A Masque is a symbol of the religious belief of those that attacked the U.S. at the twin towers.  It is not a slap in the face because of religious implications but because it will stand as a symbol of the victory of our attackers success.  The mealy-mouthed Govt. we have that is more than willing to stand up against us and stand up for our enemies doesn’t want to get involved in local Govt. issues.  Talk about turning a blind eye!!  Who do the Governments of this country represent?  Certainly not us.  It would not surprise me if the people of New York City found someway to get rid of their officials and found new ones before time for the Masque to be built that would repeal their ruling.  One can only hope. 

     It seams that Kagan is going to get her seat on the Supreme Court.  I think the senators that will vote on the appointment this week or next are either blind or deaf or have a complete mental lapse.  Her statements in the hearing sounded like “Déjà vu” of Sotomeyor.  I’ve heard actors recite lines better than that.  And for two people to say the same thing, especially about gun rights, and both get the part.  When is the last time you saw a show with two actors playing the same role?  Yet, that’s what will happen if she is appointed.  With her stance on gun rights, I can’t help but wonder which one of our rights in the “Bill of Rights” will be next.  And, how long before they start falling like dominoes?  Call your senator and, in a nice way, urge them to vote against her and even fillabuster if necessary to keep her out before we suffer the consequences!!  PLEASE!!!
