Decisions, Decisions Will there ever be an end to them?

Well, it seems that it’s that time again. We have to decide who is going to run the country for the next four years. I’m sure everybody has their own idea as to what they want or what they think needs to be done. What the most important issues are or just what they would like to see happen. But, I wonder if it’s based on personal desire, (wants). Everyone thinks they know what’s best for the country, especially politicians. The unfortunate part is that politicians have a bad habit of saying what they think you want to hear. The bad part about that is, most of the time, they’re right. They say exactly what you want to hear so they can get your vote, so they can get in office and do what they want to and a little bit of what you wanted. Just enough to keep you pacified so maybe you’ll keep them in office for more than one term so they can do more of what they want to do.
My problem is, why are these people really running for the Presidency? I can’t help wondering what their real agenda is. Sometimes I can’t help but think that like the idea of having all that power of ruling over all the people that once they get into office, everyone has to sit back and accept what they dish out. They appoint Supreme Court Judges and if enough Senators and Congressmen (persons) of the same political persuasion get elected, they’re all set. They can do just about whatever they want.
They don’t seem to remember that they are in office to run the government for the people, not the other way around. When they are sworn in, they are sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America, not to change it. The Constitution grants the government certain powers, which the government is supposed to operate within those bounds. The people of this country, when this country was being established, recognizing that government is a predatory entity and would eventually find a way out of those bounds, would not accept the Constitution unless certain points were specifically spelled out. That’s where the Bill of Rights comes in. It basically states that even though you (the government) may eventually find your way to extend your power beyond the limits of the Constitution, there are certain rights, unalienable and ordained by GOD that you will keep your dirty little hands away from. Being ordained by GOD, if you dare cross this line, you will answer to GOD.
There appears to be some seeking election that this doesn’t seem to bother. So much the worse for us if they do get elected. These requirements were demanded by people, mostly Christians, that memories of the religious persecution that they had been subjected too, and rulers like the king that gave and took away the Magna Charta more than thirty times according to his whims. They refused to be subject to any entity with that much power ever again. This, Christian Nation, was allowed to come into existence by Christians and now there are so many people that have not been taught right so they reject Christianity and all too many would abolish it completely not realizing or even accepting the idea that all the rights and freedoms they enjoy, they would not have if it were not for Christians.
Now these people running for office, claiming to be Christians and say they worship GOD, now saying they’re going to stand up for certain people so they won’t loose a certain right, have changed what they say to try to get those peoples votes. I find their sudden change of heart, in both instances, a little hard to swallow.
Now, I’m not saying that everybody should vote for the other front-runner just because he has a different platform. What I am saying is that everyone should look up their political history, their voting record. Don’t believe all that anyone says. Find out the facts and then vote, not for the one that best matches your personal desires, but the one that proves to be the best qualified, according to their record. There are too many people out there that say, I am a Democrat or I am a Republican or I am a whatever. I’ve always been this, my parents were this and my grandparents were this and that’s how I’m going to vote no matter what. Well, I guess that means that they’ll vote this way even if that person completely destroys the country and they loose all of their rights and freedoms.
This may sound a little fanatical to you, but I happen to believe that the false prophet and the anti-Christ cannot come to power until the Bill of Rights is removed. That means even just reinterpreting it. So, if for no other reason, and I think this is the best reason for being sure of what, whoever you vote for, really stands for.
One last thought, it is written that no State of Local government shall make laws, regulations or rules of any kind that interfere with these Rights in any way. Do yourself a favor and get a copy of the Bill of Rights and read it. Then, read the laws, regulations and rules of your state and local governments to see what changes they have made, and I bet it’s mostly for their convenience. Maybe we should also start looking more closely at who is running our local governments too.
