Church History part (2)

There is a lot of church history that is not made known to the general public.  The same is true for secular history.  The sad part about it is that the world history that’s not generally taught includes or is related to church history.  For some reason all of this has been omitted from out textbooks.  I guess the people, who decide what we are allowed to learn, don’t believe that any of it is relevant to out daily lives.  What is worse, those that teach church history also don’t believe that it is pertinent.

What I intend to do is give a little insight to what I’ve learned, provide you with some of the links to Internet sites where people with more credentials than I, include the sources where they found the evidence to the part of church and world history that is not general knowledge.

First a few statements about the history that I’m referring too.  I’ll start with the part that I’ve had the most discussion about lately.  I’ve had on one forum, and I’ve seen on various others while trying to find more information on the Apostle Paul in England and the 29th chapter of Acts.  I have found some sites that give references that back up the fact of Paul in England, but only brief mention of the 29th chapter of Acts.  I believe that it exists somewhere, and until it is proven to the contrary, I will continue to believe so.  The part of history concerning Paul and England starts in Rome and believed to take place during the time between his first trial and the second, which consists of several years.  Part of the evidence is, the Spanish, I believe, have a stamp commemorating his visit there.  However, the part in question is:

Did the Apostle Paul visit England?

I would say yes.  According to all that I’ve read lately and the references that they give, I would say that there is more than enough evidence to the positive.  Starting with the book I’ve read “Did The Apostle Paul Visit Britain?”  Written by R. W. Morgan with introductory comments by Dr. Gene Scott.  I got my copy through Dolores Press Inc.

This is the story, by an unknown author, of how Christianity was introduced into Britain.

This particular link gives a long list of manuscripts, documents and codex’s that were not included in any bible, mostly because no one knew about them at the time the Bibles were written, and others that were, I guess, too late to be entered without upsetting a lot of people.

     http://www.biblefacts.org/myth/j_arimathea.htm

This is the story of Joseph of Arimathea and the ones with him in the small boat started the first church (above ground) in Britain.  It also lists the other Apostles and disciples that came there and some of those that Paul addressed in his letter to the Romans.

This is the story of the Church of Glastonbury.  The first church built and established in all of Europe.

The story of early Christianity and Europe’s western Isles.

     http://www.abcog.org/glover.htm

A whole list of stories concerning and relating Britain, Judah, Ephraim, the Bible and the United States.  Please don’t disregard these and those that follow just because you scoff at the idea of the United States being mentioned in Biblical Prophecy.

More about Britain and the United States role in Biblical History.

Part (2) of more about Britain and the United States role in Biblical History.

That’s nine links with references to a lot of sources and one book that talk about biblical history and the Apostle Paul in ways that are not normally taught.  There is more, but I think that is enough for now.  If you read all of the links and references, it will take you a while to get through them anyway.  If anyone has knowledge of this subject in more detail that can be added to what is listed here or any information of the whereabouts of the reported original Greek version of the 29th chapter of Acts.  Please let me know.
