Christianity in the U.S.

I read part of an article yesterday that said Christianity in the United States was dwindling and that the number of people that claim NO religious affiliation has doubled.  Why do you think that is?  There are some things that I’ve noticed and read and been told that are probably good indications of why but, you probably don’t want to hear it.  Mostly because it just might hit home where you live or attend services in particular.

I have read where people were complaining that attendance in services was getting smaller so they started singing songs that were pleasing to hear and up to date.  They started preaching sermons that made people feel good about themselves.  They started doing things that had nothing to do with GODs Word like social gatherings of one kind or another.  Doing more things that appealed to the public to draw them in.  Adopting a more worldly frame of reference by offering activities and meetings that appealed to their pleasure principle rather than any spiritual conviction they may or probably no longer have.  Kinda makes me think of all the practices that the Church of the first few centuries AD did to convert the heathen from their religious practices, the mystery religion etc…  There are books that tell what their practices were, practices that you can still find in modern day Christian and social practices.  Practices that appeal to the public and that the modern day churches feel they need to add to in order to increase their congregational size.  Modern interpretations of the Bible are being and have been written that are geared more to pleasing man than GOD.  Especially the nonviolent peacenik mentality people.  You know the kind, the ones that would have kept the U.S. in a separatist position from the rest of the world prior to Japan bombing Pearl Harbor.  If that hadn’t awakened them, we probably would be bowing down to a descendent of the Emperor of Japan or a perpetuator of Hitler’s regime.

Today, were in a much worse situation.  The attack on the two towers in New York City and the Pentagon didn’t seam to have much effect, by comparison.  People are still whining about our military being in foreign lands fighting and dying to keep those that would physically destroy the U.S. over there instead of having to fight them on our door steps.  We don’t have a military and civil law enforcement large enough to even control the drug traffic across our borders and the political parties especially the President refuses to call out the militia (civilian) backup because it might mean that there would a legitimate reason for maintaining the 2nd Amendment as it was written and to acknowledge the need for every law abiding citizen to be well armed.  “As ordained by GOD”.

It has been taught to me that when the Constitution goes, so does this country.  It doesn’t even have to be re-written, just re-interpreted.  The government is already establishing control of the free enterprise of the financial district.  FIRST STEP.  What will the second step be?  Which part of our lives will we have to give up next to FEDERAL control?  I know this sounds like I’ve gotten a little sidetracked, but not really.  GOD ordained the powers that be.  The people that wrote the Constitution, recognized this form of government as being the most conducive to GODs way of things being done. They also recognized that any government is a predatory, power mongering entity.  That is why they would not recognize any government until the Constitution and the Bill of Rights was written voted on and accepted by all colonies.

Which brings me back to current times.  People are allowing the schools to raise their kids under a system adopted from a book written by a man named Dewey, I hope I spelled his name right, called “Experimentalism”, I think back in the 1920s. In which the educational system experiments with the kids’ brains, separates them into different categories of learning ability, based on the teaching they receive.  It doesn’t matter if a child has trouble learning something from one teacher that he may be at the top of the class under another teacher, they weed out what they consider the brightest and best and give them the best teaching programmed to what they feel is most needed in today’s society and the rest fall by the wayside receiving the minimal instruction required to pass general subjects.  I found out almost too late in life that I had an IQ somewhere between 117 and 127.  But, I had trouble learning certain subjects under the approved method or instruction at the time and became one of those left by the wayside to earn a living doing manual labor to earn a living.  And was taught in a way that convinced me that that was the kind of work that I wanted to do.  Talk about being shortchanged.  When I hurt my back one to many times and decided I could no longer do that kind of work to support myself, I found out that I was not allowed to obtain employment using my mind no matter how much training I got.  I wound up going 5 years with nothing coming in but food stamps until the VA finally recognized my physical disability and awarded me a pension and a year later Social Security finally acknowledged it and awarded me a pension and when I told the VA that Social Security had finally started paying me, the VA stopped and wanted some of their money back.  Enough of my problems besides it’s just an example of how you’re experimented with, categorized, and pigeon holed by the educational system instead of being allowed to learn and live up to your fullest potential.  It also creates people that are so self absorbed with themselves that the only thing that matters to them is their own self-pleasure and it doesn’t matter who you step on or how you treat anyone as long as your own self-gratification is achieved.  This is not a Christian attitude.  In fact, it is not even a human attitude.  It is a sub-human attitude more commonly called yuppy-ism.  The education system is not raising Christians, there not even raising humans.  They’re raising self-satisfying, self-gratifying, self-absorbed sub-human yuppies.  People, start being parents again, raise your own kids, raise them to learn what a Christian is and to be Christians and to be human.  Take the raising of your kids out of the hands of the educational system and demand that they start giving everybody the same educational opportunity, not just the select few they pick out.  America is the land of equal opportunity for everyone.  The select few is an attitude that belongs in a Monarchy or a dictatorship, NOT IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!!!  This is part of the reason that this country is becoming less Christian.  Christians are still the majority in this country.  The founders of this country left their homelands to come here and establish a Christian atmosphere to raise their families in.  Are you going to be a solution that rebels against the way the country is headed or are you going to sit back like a couch potato thinking someone else will do it and be part of the problem much to the disappointment and disgrace of the founders of this country.  Your choice, are you a Christian or just another mealy-mouth pretense?  Be a Christian or be doomed to annihilation.
