Can You Believe?

Can you believe the stuff these so called researchers are putting on television and expect us to accept as fact? Did any of you watch the program about the Exodus out of Egypt on television the other night? I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. Some of these people and there research appears to me as though they are blind me trying to describe an elephant from touching it’s trunk or leg or tail and nothing else. Talk about grabbing for straws, they haven’t even found the haystack yet. It would surprise me if any of them has read any more of the Bible than what suits their purpose. So, their research falls short, as usual. Right now, I’ll get picky and single out what one of them did. The Red Sea crossing.
On a Google Map, the narrowest part appears to be 4+ miles wide. When is the last time you walked 4 miles? The last time I was able to walk that far without stopping was about five years ago. When I was in my twenty’s, I walked more than that every day. On any given day, it would take less than an hour. But then, I wasn’t carrying any load or herding any animals. Neither was I walking against a 100 mph wind which, according to these scientist, the Israelites would have to do to cross because that is what they say it would take to create a path to walk on. The researchers created a path in a lab, in a tank with a machine, which produced a crosswind and formed a wall of water on one side. But, the Israelites had a wall of water on both sides. Also, when is the last time you ever heard of someone even standing up in a 100 mph wind, which is what the researcher proved it would take to blow the water away, much less walking at a right angle to or even into it for that matter? In order for them to walk across while the wind was blowing, it would have to be a special kind of wind that only affects water and not people or animals or even what they were carrying. Do you personally know anyone that has experienced a wind like that? Where is your scientific evidence of a naturally occurring wind of that type? What history book has a record of that kind of wind? You show me your evidence for a natural occurrence of this nature and I’ll start listening to you instead of GOD. Until then, if you are going to try to disprove scriptures, whichever biblical event you choose, get the whole thing, not just the part that is convenient to your test. Someone with a high school education, like me, that can read, can come along and make your experiment look like a kindergarten show and tell.
The following verses from the Bible are used to emphasize a few points that I’m trying to make. Pay special attention to the words that are in bold type and the ones that are in a different color.
For example, above I mentioned how long it took me to walk four miles. Are you ready to do some multiplication? To give them the benefit of the doubt, lets start with a few facts and then use your own calculations.
According to scriptures, Moses was about Eighty years old when GOD talked to him from the burning bush. (Uh, not George). Add a little more time between then and the actual Exodus. Keep in mind that he was still probably in better health than a twenty year old today. Also, the Israelites had been in slavery since before he was born. The scriptures say about 600,000 men, (Israelites) plus children. And then there was the mixed multitude that left with them. There have been estimates that as many as three and one quarter million people left Egypt in the Exodus. But don’t slow them down yet. Psalm 105 said that there was not a feeble one in their midst. How do you think that could be after so many years of slavery? Find any country today that has any part of their population that has not lived in slavery for the same period of time and count that many people without finding anyone with a physical defect. I dare you.
Just to keep every thing in context, there were no feeble people in their midst because they followed GODs’ instructions and partook of the Passover. What we call Communion, The Lords Supper, The Table of the Lord, etc… today.
Now, the problem is, how long to you think the wind would have to blow that strong to keep the waters divided long enough for that many people to cross on dry land? And, if that was not the hand of GOD, how many do you think would have made it using the rationale of today’s scientists? That’s enough to get you started, now for a little extra evidence to the Exodus, follow the link to the web site at the bottom of this post. You might even read some things you didn’t already know. Enjoy!!!
