Bad News

On Wednesday, July 22 this year a vote was taken on an amendment to a bill in the Senate. As a Christian and a citizen of the United States of America, the idea that a vote on such an issue is needed is deplorable. It insinuates that the validity of the Bill of Rights to the Constitution of the United States is in question. Being raised and schooled in this country, especially in American History, I believe that the Bill of Rights was part of an agreement between the people of this country and GOD and was not to be questioned.
The fact that such an issue even came up for a vote is a strong indication of the degeneration of this country in general and the Government in particular. To find out that 39 voted against it and I think 3 didn’t vote at all is outrageous. When Senators are sworn in to office they are required to take an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That includes the Bill of Rights. Anyone that votes on an issue such as this and votes against it is in essence an active enemy against the Constitution. Anyone that does not vote in favor or does not vote at all is negligent and in dereliction of duty. According to the laws established for such action or lack of appropriate action require them to be removed from office and never allowed to hold a political office again. There must be some really gullible people out there to let people like this con them into voting them into office to begin with.
This post in not about whether it’s right to carry a firearm or not, it’s about the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. Whether you think it’s right or not is irrelevant. The Bill of Rights says it is and that is the law they are violating.
To give a Christian analogy, the Bill of Rights, (the first 10 amendments) to the Constitution is analogous to the 10 Commandments given to Moses. They both set down in writing the first law of the land, the Bill of Rights to the U.S. and the 10 Commandments to the People of Israel. More laws were added to both but these were the first 10. Like the Israelites, the people in this country today are trying to find ways around them to suite their own personal wants and desires. For example, the people of Israel were not supposed to travel over a given distance from their possessions on a certain day. So, the day before they would go that distance and lay down a possession and then go that distance again and lay down another possession and so on until they got to where they wanted to go on that certain day. So that when that day came, they could travel to where they wanted to go without going past that distance from their possession.
Today, in this country, Americans are trying to find any way they can to get around a law they don’t agree with. Since the law of this land was, in effect established as a contract with GOD, as GOD established the 10 Commandments and the rest of the laws given through Moses as a contract with Israel, not adhering to the Bill of Rights can impose the same kind of punishment on us as Israel received or worse.
We are going to keep going in this direction until we all wind up unarmed, unable to defend ourselves and people like the drug cartels will take over this country and turn everybody into drug addicts or worse, Ole Sammy Ben La La Land or someone like him will move in and turn everyone into Muslims and kill everyone that he can’t turn. Or both.
It is extremely bad for this country that we do not have a President with the spirit of a Washington or Lincoln or Johnson or the gonads of a President like T. Roosevelt who said speak softly and carry a big stick or his son F.D.R. who picked up his fathers big stick and used it on the Axis Nations in World War II. We need someone like this to deal with the drug cartels and other terrorists. I have another post on my blog that I think the President we have now would do good to read to get an idea of how to get started acting like a President that wants to keep this country the way it was established in the beginning. In fact, I think I’ll send him and my congressmen, (Senator, Representative) and maybe a few other people a copy of this and the other post. If you can think of anyone you think should read them. By all means send them a link to my blog or make a copy and send them copies.
