Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in prison ministry.  The man who walks with God always gets to his destination.  If you have a pulse you have a purpose. 

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States, especially in the minority races!!!  Last month I attended my annual training session that’s required for maintaining my state prison security clearance.  During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs. 

I responded, ‘So, let me make sure I have this straight.  All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven.  Is that correct?’  The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.’

The Imam was speechless! 

I continued, ‘I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! 

Let me ask you a question:  Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order  for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?’ 

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame. Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the Diversification training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing with the Islamic Imam, and exposing the truth about the Muslims’ beliefs. In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President! 

 MY THOUGHTS ON THIS SUBJECT

The idea of a Muslim President is something for a Christian Nation to be concerned about.  However, as long as people put themselves ahead of everything else, we may not have to wait for a Muslim to take that office before worrying about the future of this country.  Christianity is not very appealing to people anymore because Christianity requires a focus on someone other than yourself that your world is supposed to revolve around.  Jesus Christ. 

As long as people live for self-satisfaction, anything that promotes an action you can physically do that will elevate self will be more appealing.  The Muslim religion says that if you physically do this then you’re guaranteed a place in heaven with Allah. 

Christianity says, put others first ahead of yourself, especially GOD and Jesus Christ and seek no worldly fame or fortune.  Instead of take, give.  Instead of hate, love.  Love, that’s a key word today.  Everybody wants it but they are afraid to give it or when they do they’ll get used and get hurt.  Most think that those that do give it are just trying to use it to get something. 

 In today’s world, most everyone only knows of two kinds of love, sexual love and brotherly love.  GODs love is neither of these.  In the Koine Greek it’s called Agape.  This is an unconditional love that is freely given with no expectancy of anything in return.  This is the kind of love that Christians are supposed to have.  Even towards their enemies.  Luke 6: 35.  The preceding and following verses put it into context.  This is what it takes to be a Christian along with adhering to certain other requirements.  This is a very unpopular way to be in today’s society.  It means that you can’t think of yourself first.   

There is another reason for this kind of love.  You express this kind of love toward the enemies of Christianity.  Rom 12: 19 & 20 explains why.  Verse 21 says,  “Be not^G3361 overcome^G3528 of^G5259 evil,^G2556 but^G235 overcome^G3528 evil^G2556 with^G1722 good.^G18 .”  GOD wants Christians like this so HE can exercise HIS vengeance in HIS own way and we don’t get in HIS way trying to do it ourselves.   

As long as people see Christianity and the way it is presented today by most denominations as something that’s not believable and doesn’t fit in today’s society or they only practice it because they’ve, in their own mind, created a God that is acceptable to what they want Him to be, then more and more people are going to turn to other religions like Muslim because it’s more palatable to them.   More believable than Christianity the way it is presented today.   As long is this frame of mind exists and continues to flourish in today’s society, we may not have to wait for a Muslim President to change this nation from a Christian Nation.   Those who are Christian in name only and those that don’t believe in anything other than self and the here and now, along with the other religions, will take care of that long before a Muslim can get to that office.  If the one that is there now isn’t already one in secret. 

If any of you preachers read this, think about it, are you really teaching Christ and GOD’s Way?  Or, are you just teaching denominational doctrine?   Are you part of the solution or still part of the problem?  If you’re liked by a lot of people, if you pastor a popular church in you community, if the world approves of you, you are probably still part of the problem.

P.S.:  HE doesn’t necessarily want HIS enemies there with HIS Christian people.  The verses mentioned above give evidence to that fact.
